Referential for activities and competences of rope access technicians
Developed from outcomes of the Leonardo Project TSC and national requirements:
- Function: sum of activities needed to achieve a common goal
- Activity: coherent unit of identified and organized task
- Task: fundamental unit of an activity
Each task is divided in the following categories:
- Task description
- Conditions to fulfill the task
- Competences with respect to knowledge, know-how and skills
Referential for the certification
This referential was developed from the referential for activities and competences of rope access technicians. It is a document in accordance with the requirements of the European Qualification Framework and consists of:
- Definition of all certification units
- A chart illustrating the link between the modular training program and the certification units
Definition of certification units
- Competences and expert knowledge to be assessed, assessment criteria and assessment principles
- Learning outcome (knowledge, skills, competences)
It also covers:
- ECVET-points for the certification and the modalities for their distribution
- A description for recording the certification in the “Europass”
- Criteria and procedures for admission with specific professional experience
- Composition of the jury
Modular training program
The structure of the modular training program has to assure:
- That completion of the program is possible over an extended period of time and when doing the training with different training providers.
- That specific professional experience is accredited.
The training program contains:
- Diagram of the modular architecture
- Description of each module: title, contents, pre-requisites, teaching method, assessment and validation procedures
- A chart illustrating the link between the modules and the certification units
Training program for trainers
Enables the participating trainers to familiarize themselves with the project outcomes and to enhance their pedagogic skills. The training program for trainers consists of:
- Description of the module: title, contents, pre-requisites, teaching method, assessment and validation procedures
- Simulation of a training module
- Assessment grid for the training
Training program for jury members
Enables the participants (trainers, employees and contractors) to familiarize themselves with and benefit from the project outcomes. The training program for jury members contains:
- Description of the module: title, goals, contents and teaching method
- Simulation of an assessment
- Assessment grid for the participants
This document will be completed with a register of necessary precognitions for jury members: pre-requisites to become a jury member.
Training of trainers
- Training of a group of 10 trainers in each partner country
- Duration: 3 days
- Trainers from the other 2 countries (ESP – FRA – GER) will support the hosting trainer during the event
Training of jury members
- Training for jury members will take place following the training of trainers
- Training of a group of 10 jury members in each partner country
- Duration: 1 day
- Trainers from the other 2 countries (ESP – FRA – GER) will support the hosting trainer during the event
Training of technicians
Each country schedules two trainings for future rope access technicians.
- Training of two groups of 6 persons in each partner country
Organization of the assessment
Each partner country schedules the following events:
- 2 fixed dates to validate the newly created certification with the groups of trained technicians (2 groups with 6 participants each)
- 1 fixed date to validate the newly created certification as part of the recognition of professional experience with three rope access technicians
European certification
Implementation of the newly created harmonized certification in the established national certification schemes.
